Rolex Submariner Date 16610, X serial, sold in Mallorca in June 1993 Rolex Submariner Date ref. 16610 in stainless steel with black tritium dial, tritium hands, black aluminium bezel and Oyster bracelet. One of the most recognisable Submariner generations, with a 40mm case, sapphire crystal and the slimmer proportions from before the maxi case and ceramic bezel era. This example is an X serial from 1993. The watch has been fitted with a new bezel insert with Luminova pearl, while the original insert with tritium pearl is included. A nice combination of everyday usability and the correct period part on the side. Inside is the Rolex Caliber 3135, an automatic movement with date display and approximately 48 hours of power reserve. A proven Rolex movement that suits the 16610 well as a daily sports watch.
