Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz ref. 17000 from around 1978 (5637xxxx serial number). An early and characterful version of the iconic Oysterquartz, made in a 36 mm steel case with integrated bracelet, sapphire crystal and sharp-edged 1970s design, which clearly distinguishes models from the classic automatic Datejust. The watch has a white dial with Roman numerals and the well-known Rolex date at 3 o'clock. Inside works the famous Caliber 5035, one of the most advanced quartz movements of the period, developed and produced by Rolex itself. The movement is chronometer certified and known for its precise, mechanically inspired construction, which makes the Oysterquartz models something very special in Rolex's history. Comes with Rolex service case and receipt from previous used sale, but without other accessories.
